Simple man

<p>Michigan is full of people that love the outdoors. When you have all the splendor that is the Michigan outdoors at you disposal it is not difficult to get involved. Just this summer I have put over a hundred miles on my Trek mountain bike. I've hiked, paddle boarded, gone kayaking and watched a bunch of outdoor concerts. All while holding down a full time job. These sort of activities are absolutely necessary when half the year is spent trying to stay warm.

Wheelman

Driving is a passion. All my life I have loved everything automotive. Hundreds of childhood hot wheels and a love of model building helped fuel that passion for auto design. Model building gave me a solid foundation of mechanical inclination. A basic understanding of where parts on a car go, as well as how to take them apart. It may sound silly but it has translated an ability to work on things myself.
I honestly feel as though I missed my calling as a race car driver. Or a delivery driver. or whatever. I love testing the limits of whatever vehicle I might be piloting. Older age has slowed down my terrorizing of public roadways, but that does not mean I don't miss it. Given the opportunity, I will jump at any chance to climb into something fast enough to do something stupid in.

What manner of sorcery be this

So this is only a test. I'm trying to get an idea of how to operate this blogger application. Provided that this goes well my intention is to use this as a medium to express a style that is unique to the area I grew up in, west Michigan.
It takes a certain kind of maniac to survive in the mitten, much more thrive. I will be posting the stuff I like or have liked in the past that has helped to keep a marginal grasp on the reality outside of this state of being.
